I'm a Lead UX Designer at Insight. 24 years designing physical and digital experience. Often in parallel, not in sequence. Human-centred UX/UI, end to end: discovery, design, build.
For four years I ran cloud and data-centre software development at DC Two alongside signage, exhibition and museum fabrication at The Factory, at the same time. That concurrency isn't a footnote; it's the organising principle. I don't think in channels. I think in systems.
Today that means production React and Vue, component libraries in Storybook and Figma, WCAG 2.2 into federal government systems, and physical environments modelled as Azure Digital Twins. AI accelerates the workflow; the craft is knowing when not to reach for it.

This portfolio is itself a proof of concept for a Figma MCP → VS Code / Storybook / React / TypeScript design system pipeline. Design tokens are extracted from Figma variables, transformed to CSS custom properties, and consumed by React components in Storybook. The same components render this site via Astro.
