Constable Care Road & Transport Safety School
Fabricated a miniature town with real roads, a life-size mock Transperth train, and a set of physical beacons that drive an AR experience — coordinating directly with the agency building the digital layer.
The facility
Western Australia’s first road and transport safety school, in Maylands. The Factory was an ongoing client of Constable Care for more than four years. For this build the workshop fabricated a small “town” with real roads so primary-school children could ride bikes through it and learn road rules in situ, a mock life-size Transperth train, and the full signage scope: pylon signs, reception signage, entry statements, directional and sponsor signage, and internal graphics.
The physical-digital seam
The part that matters for the systems-thinking story: a series of physical beacons produced to drive an AR experience, built by coordinating directly with the separate agency creating the digital AR layer. Physical objects fabricated to a spec set by someone else’s software, delivered through cross-agency coordination. This is the same seam I would later work at the Public Transport Authority and on the Lifeblood digital twin, a decade earlier and in plywood and steel.
